So far, the folks at Kent Homes have been exceeding our expectations. They’re in touch with us daily, as they report progress on working out design details and sourcing items for our home. For example, today, Laura reported that the push-to-open hinges we liked for our cabinetry are very pricey (about $3,500 in total). Yikes!
Instead, we found something that we like just as much. Bonus! These will cost 1/10th the price.
Here’s a photo of Laura, during our visit to Kent Homes, as she shows us how houses move along the production line.
Here is Michael with Laura Maillet, Customer Solution Specialist, and General Manager, David Saucy as we toured the lovely Tech Home together.
Laura, Michael and I had a blast selecting cabinet, counter top, flooring and exterior finishes. Well, perhaps we girls might have had most of the fun.
Tip: when making choices, take all your samples outside to see them in daylight. The colour cast from window films, artificial lighting and room colours will really alter how finishes look. Examine the interior and exterior finishes in the shade as well as the exterior finishes in the full sun.
Kent Homes’ Director of Business Development, Jeff Green has journeyed from New Brunswick twice to meet with us so far. Here he is with Michael surveying our site.
And, speaking of our lot, here is how it looks now after a very rainy spring.
