Photos From the Plant.
When building a site-built home close by, visits to see the progress can be made frequently. With our home being built nearly 4 hours away, our excitement and curiosity is nurtured by our fabulously thoughtful Laura who, true to her word, is sending us daily photos of our project.
With the build in the plant happening in such a short time frame (10 -14 days), progress will be made quickly. Here’s Laura checking out our floor framing on Day 1. If I’ve understood correctly, the walls and roof structure are being framed at the same time…
… It looks like this is where they’re framing our walls.
By the morning of Day 2, all the cross bracing is in place as well as the water lines for sinks, toilets, dishwasher, clothes washer and tub/shower. In the foreground, are the hot and cold for the bathroom sink.
I’m curious how they lift the floor frame up onto the tracks to move the home through the various work stations in the plant. I’ll find out for next time!
Correction – I asked the question and learned that production time on the floor will actually be four weeks.
