Drum roll, please…. 3 more sleeps until our house arrives!
It’s expected to leave Bouctouche, New Brunswick on Wednesday morning. It’ll sit until Friday, when the crew arrives to roll it sideways off the truck and onto its foundation posts.
Here are the 18 Postech posts that have been screwed 7 feet into the ground and laser-levelled by Jamie and Scott Sawler.
So, no crane necessary. I must say I’m a bit disappointed. Let’s face it, our house swinging in the air would be so much more dramatic. Oh well, it’s coming and that’s the best news of all.
The Postech posts. We’re so excited that our house will be sitting about 20″ off the ground. In my mind’s eye, it will look very cool, but I must admit to having a few butterflies now that the moment is nearly upon us.
Now for the latest and nearly the last of the photos that we’ll receive from our fabulously helpful Laura Maillet.
Mirrored pocket door on step-in closet, master bedroom.
Mechanical room and entry closet doors (Melrose from Masonite) in the front hall.
We’ve been joking with Laura about our eagerness to see a gratuitous toilet photo (you know, like some real estate agents feel compelled to include in their listings). Anyway, here’s our gratuitous toilet photo!
Our shower/tub has a skylight over top and the tiles are actually a tile substitute from MAAX, called U-Tile – less costly than tile and less expensive to install.
Kitchen sink.
…. Until next time.
