Hello everyone – I hope that you are keeping healthy and happy.
Here in Nova Scotia, it’s pretty normal for neighbours to show up with a helping hand for one another when times are tough. But this new normal has most of us feeling at a loss as to what to do to help and I, too, have been struggling to know how I can best support others during this time.
Like other sectors, home building and renovating have pretty much come to a full stop, as working in homes is too risky for families and the trades and their families. Now, after many conversations with clients, trades and vendors, I’m feeling confident that the very best way I can serve is to offer people a positive focus.
So, until things return to normal, I’ll be offering Free 30 Minute Designer on Call sessions with the hope of providing comfort and some new ideas for making your home more beautiful and joyful. **Update: June 9, 2020 – I’m so grateful to have been able to assist a few home owners with this offer. Life is pretty much back to normal now, so we’ll return to our usual Free Discover Calls format.**
If you have (or had) a home project on the horizon, this may be the ideal time for a pleasant diversion – a time to move forward with planning something beautiful and joyful. If you need me, we can collaborate by video, phone and email. When this crisis is over, I know the trades and vendors will be more than eager to get to work on your project!
While self-isolation and social-distancing are critical to keeping everyone in our communities healthy, the circumstances are sadly keeping us away from the very activities that nurture our social, physical, mental and emotional well-being. Now, more than ever, our homes need to nourish and sustain us.
